One Accord: Worship, Prayer, and Unity

There is something powerful about the church coming together with one heart and one purpose.

One Accord is a special worship and prayer gathering at The Chapel created to give us extra time to slow down, seek God together, and pray intentionally for our church, our families, and our community.

This is more than simply another event on the calendar. It is a night set aside to come together in unity—to worship, to listen, to pray, and to stand with one another in faith.

Why “One Accord”?

The name comes from the picture we see in Scripture of believers gathering together in unity and prayer.

“These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication…” — Acts 1:14

There is strength in praying individually, but there is also something deeply meaningful about believers joining together and lifting the same needs before God.

At One Accord, we want to create space for that kind of prayer.

What to Expect

During the evening, we will spend time in worship and focused group prayer.

Together, we may pray for:

• Our church and church family

• Our children and families

• Our pastors, leaders, and ministries

• Those who are hurting or walking through difficult seasons

• Our schools, workplaces, and local leaders

• The needs of Spencer and the surrounding community

• Revival, spiritual growth, and opportunities to share the love of Jesus

You do not have to be comfortable praying out loud to attend. You are welcome to simply come, worship, listen, agree in prayer, and be part of the gathering.

Praying for Our Community

One of the main purposes of One Accord is to intentionally pray for the community around us.

We want to be a church that does more than notice needs—we want to bring those needs before God and be willing to respond when He gives us opportunities to serve.

Our community is filled with families, neighbors, schools, businesses, churches, and individuals who need encouragement, hope, wisdom, healing, and the love of Christ.

We believe prayer matters.

And we believe there is value in standing together as one church family and saying, “Lord, here we are. Use us.”

One Accord is open to anyone who wants to join us.

Whether you have been part of The Chapel for years, are new to the church, or simply feel drawn to spend an evening in worship and prayer, you are welcome.

Come with a prayer need.

Come ready to pray for someone else.

Come ready to worship.

Or simply come and sit in the presence of God alongside others who are seeking Him too.
