At times, faith requires bold obedience—steps that don’t make sense to the natural mind but lead to supernatural results. This powerful testimony, shared by Sandra Lipscomb at The Chapel, is a beautiful reminder that when we listen to God’s voice and act in faith, He meets us with power, healing, and undeniable evidence of His love.
A Call to Obedience
For over a year and a half, God had been stirring Sandra’s heart to be part of The Chapel (then Ignite Church). Deep down, she knew this was where she was supposed to be planted, but her husband wasn’t ready to move. Still, the prompting from God wouldn’t go away.
One Sunday, as they were driving near the church, Sandra heard the Lord speak clearly to her spirit: “I want you to start driving there.”
At first, the thought seemed impossible—it was a four-hour drive one way. But Sandra’s heart was already positioned in obedience. Without hesitation, she said, “Okay, Lord. I’ll do it.”
Week after week, she made that long journey with joy, peace, and expectancy, trusting that God had a purpose for every mile.
An Unexpected Diagnosis
Several weeks into her obedience, Sandra faced a life-altering moment. During a routine mammogram, doctors found something concerning.
“They said there was a mass, and they also found a blood clot under my other arm.”
As she drove home that day, the enemy began to speak lies into her mind—trying to fill her heart with fear. He whispered thoughts like: What are you going to do now? You know how long treatment takes. How much church are you going to miss? What will people think after you made this commitment?
Sandra described this moment perfectly when she said, “You know how the enemy can be a real Chatty Kathy.”
But rather than letting fear take root, she decided to fight back—not with her own strength, but with the authority of Jesus Christ.
Standing on the Word
“I didn’t look up and say, ‘God, what are You thinking?’ No. I looked down—because the enemy is under my feet.”
With unwavering faith, Sandra began to speak directly to the problem: “Blood clot, you’re not welcome here. Cancer, you’re not welcome here. Mass, be gone in the name of Jesus.”
She declared God’s healing over her body and chose to believe that the same Jesus who healed the sick and raised the dead was still working miracles today.
The very next morning, she went in for a Doppler scan to check the blood clot. The technician spent a long time examining her arm and neck, running the probe over and over before finally saying words Sandra will never forget: “There’s no blood clot.”
Confused, the technician checked again. Then she said, “I’ve been doing this for 20 years. I know what I’m doing. There’s no blood clot.”
Sandra knew right then—if the blood clot was gone, the mass would be too.
The Confirmation of a Miracle
A week later, she went in for the scheduled biopsy. Once again, the technician began scanning but couldn’t find the mass. She called the doctor, who re-examined the images, checked both sides, and finally said, “There’s no mass.”
Every trace of what had once shown up on the scan was completely gone.
What doctors had once seen was no longer there. What the enemy meant for fear, God turned into faith. What was supposed to be a diagnosis became a declaration of divine healing.
Faith That Moves Mountains
Sandra’s testimony is a vivid example of what happens when we align our faith with God’s Word and refuse to give the enemy any ground. She could have accepted fear, but instead, she chose to stand on truth.
Her story reminds us that faith isn’t passive—it’s powerful. It’s the spiritual authority to speak life where there’s been death, to call healing into existence, and to stand firm even when circumstances try to shake us.
Sandra’s miracle is not just her story—it’s a testament to the power of God’s promises for all of us who believe.
“For with God, nothing will be impossible.” — Luke 1:37
A Word of Encouragement
If you’re facing a battle today—whether it’s sickness, fear, or uncertainty—take heart. The same God who healed Sandra is still at work today. Speak His Word over your situation. Stand firm in faith. And remember that even when you can’t see the answer yet, God is already moving.
He is faithful. He is powerful. And He is still performing miracles.
