WHO WE ARE
Our Story
Pastor Jeremy Eastman grew up in Spencer, West Virginia, where he developed a love for the outdoors and a heart for serving his church and community. He accepted Christ as a teenager, but never imagined himself becoming a pastor. When God called him into ministry in his mid-thirties, answering that call became one of the most difficult—and most important—steps of faith he had ever taken.
Jeremy’s wife, Michele, also grew up in Spencer. Quiet and family-oriented, she especially enjoyed spending time with those closest to her. Jeremy and Michele met in school, became high school sweethearts, and married in 2002. They returned to Spencer to build their life and raise their family in the community they loved.
In 2019, God called Jeremy and Michele to step out in faith and open a Spencer campus of the church they attended. That campus would later become known as The Chapel.
Today, they share a passion for living with their faith on fire and bringing the love of God to Spencer and the surrounding communities. Their vision continues to grow as they discover new ways to reach people, care for those who are hurting, and offer hope to those who feel lost.
Even with everything God has called them to do, family remains at the center of their lives. Whenever possible, Jeremy and Michele enjoy spending time with their three children—Eli, Abby, and Cooper.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
The Bible
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, the product of holy men who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. The New Covenant, as recorded in the New Testament, is what we accept as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine (I Thessalonians 2:13, II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:21).
God
Our God is one but is manifested in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit being co-equal (I John 5:7). God the Father is greater than all, the Source of the Word (Logos) and the Begetter (John 1:14; 14:28; 16:28). The Holy Spirit proceeds forth from both the Father and the Son and is eternal (John 15:26).
