Living the Kingdom Within

When we think about the Kingdom of God, it’s easy to picture something distant—something we’ll experience one day in heaven. But the truth is, the Kingdom isn’t just coming—it’s already here. It’s alive and active within you. That’s what Pastor Jeremy reminded us of this week, and it’s something we want to hold close to our hearts as a church family.

Jesus said in Luke 17:21, “The Kingdom of God is within you.” That means when you said “yes” to Jesus, something powerful took place inside of you. The King took up residence in your heart. You carry His presence, His authority, and His purpose everywhere you go. The Kingdom isn’t a place you have to chase—it’s a reality you get to live out daily.

The Kingdom Starts With Surrender

The first place the Kingdom grows is within our hearts. Before it’s ever seen through our actions, it begins with surrender. Surrendering isn’t easy—it means letting go of control and saying, “Lord, You rule here.”

There’s such peace when we realize that Jesus doesn’t just want to visit our lives; He wants to reign in them. When we surrender, we make space for His presence to bring transformation—turning worry into trust, chaos into peace, and weakness into strength.

Maybe there’s an area you’ve been holding tightly—a fear, a decision, a hurt. What would it look like to hand that over and let Jesus take the lead? That’s where Kingdom living begins—right there, in the quiet moments of surrender.

Faith Unlocks the Kingdom

Faith is the heartbeat of the Kingdom. It’s how we receive, how we grow, and how we walk forward. Hebrews 11:6 tells us, “Without faith, it is impossible to please God.”

Faith doesn’t always mean understanding everything—it means trusting God when we don’t. It’s choosing to believe that He’s working, even when we can’t see it yet. Faith looks like showing up in prayer, staying consistent in worship, and speaking life when everything around you seems uncertain.

Faith is not just belief—it’s action. It’s stepping out when God says “go,” even if the road ahead isn’t clear. And as you walk by faith, you’ll find that the Kingdom becomes more real, more tangible, and more powerful in your life.

We Are Stewards of the Kingdom

Every believer has a role to play in the Kingdom of God. We’re not just recipients of His grace—we’re stewards of it. God has placed something unique inside each of us: a gift, a calling, an assignment.

Like the parable of the talents in Matthew 25, we’ve each been entrusted with something valuable. The question is, what will we do with what God has given us? Kingdom stewardship means using what’s in your hands—your time, your words, your compassion—to bring glory to God and bless others.

It’s not about striving—it’s about partnering with Him. When we give Him our “yes,” He multiplies what we offer. One act of faith, one word of encouragement, one step of obedience—God uses it all to expand His Kingdom through us.

Living Out Kingdom Culture

The culture of God’s Kingdom looks like righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. It’s not about rules—it’s about relationship. It’s living in a way that reflects the heart of our King.

When we carry the Kingdom within, it changes how we speak, how we respond, how we love. We become lights in dark places, bringing hope to those who feel lost. Every conversation, every act of kindness, every moment of forgiveness—it all reveals the reality of the Kingdom at work in us.

A Kingdom Life Is a Daily Choice

Living the Kingdom life is not about perfection—it’s about pursuit. It’s a daily decision to say, “Lord, let Your Kingdom come in me today.” It’s about trusting that He is with you, leading you, and working through you in every season.

When you wake up tomorrow, remember: you carry the Kingdom. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in you. You are not empty—you are equipped. You are not waiting for the Kingdom—it’s waiting for you to release it.

Let’s live this week with purpose, faith, and surrender. Let’s be a people who don’t just talk about the Kingdom—but reveal it everywhere we go.

If this message encouraged you, take a moment to pray: “Lord, let Your Kingdom come and Your will be done—in me, through me, and around me. Use my life to reflect Your glory today.”

Join us next Sunday at The Chapel as we continue to grow in understanding God’s Kingdom and our part in it.
