The Chapel Kids Ministry

🐧❄️ Kids Curriculum Spotlight: Penguins (K–4)

This season in our K–4 Kids Ministry, children will dive into a fun and meaningful Bible series all about loving others the way Jesus loves us. Through engaging lessons, hands-on activities, and age-appropriate teaching, kids will discover how God calls us to live with warm, caring hearts—even when it’s not easy.

💙 What’s the big idea?

God wants us to have warm hearts and serve others.
Kids will learn that loving others means showing kindness, compassion, and care—especially to people who may be different from them.

📖 What story will they learn?

Children will explore the powerful story of The Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25–37) and see how Jesus teaches us to love beyond comfort zones and expectations. This story helps kids understand that everyone matters to God—and that we can show His love in simple, everyday ways.

🧠 What will they remember?

Each week, kids will practice a meaningful memory verse:

“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”
— Matthew 4:19 (NIV)

🐧 Why penguins?

Penguins give us a fun way to talk about an important truth. Kids will learn that the Galápagos penguin lives near the equator where it’s warm—just like God wants our hearts to be. Instead of living with cold or unkind hearts, children will be encouraged to live with warm hearts that love, serve, and care for others.

✨ What parents can expect

  • Bible-based lessons grounded in God’s Word

  • Interactive activities that keep kids engaged

  • Teaching designed specifically for Kindergarten–4th grade

  • A safe, welcoming environment led by caring leaders

  • Practical lessons kids can use at home, school, and with friends

Our heart is to partner with families by helping children grow in their faith while having fun and building meaningful relationships.

💛 We’d love to invite your family to join us as your kids learn how to love like Jesus—one warm heart at a time.

Wonder. Worship. Foundation. 💛

In our Chapel Kids (K–4th Grade) class, we believe childhood is a sacred time—a time to plant seeds of faith that will grow deep and strong. This class is all about helping our youngest students discover the wonder of who God is, the truth of what He says, and the joy of walking with Jesus—all in a way they can understand and remember.

Every week, kids dive into:

✨ Engaging Bible lessons that bring Scripture to life

🎨 Hands-on activities and crafts that connect truth to their hearts

🎶 Worship time that teaches them to praise with joy

📖 Memory verses that hide God’s Word in their hearts

😄 Games, laughter, and friendship that make learning fun

We’re not just teaching stories—we’re building a foundation of identity, belonging, and purpose. Our goal is for every child to know deep down:

  • They are loved by God

  • They are chosen for a purpose

  • They are called to shine His light

From learning about Jesus and the woman at the well to memorizing verses like Romans 5:8 and John 1:12, our Chapel Kids are discovering how big God’s love is—and that His promises are for them, right now.

Because faith isn’t something they’ll grow into someday.

It’s something we’re growing in them—today. 🌱

🚨 5th–8th Grade Curriculum Spotlight: Crisis Management

Today’s middle school students are navigating more pressure, distraction, and challenges than ever before. In this timely series, our 5th–8th grade ministry will walk students through what it looks like to respond to life’s obstacles with faith, focus, and perseverance—grounded in God’s Word.

🧭 What’s the focus?

Lesson Title: Focus!
Students will learn that obstacles are not a reason to give up. Instead, challenges can become opportunities to refocus their hearts on God and continue doing what is right—even when things feel hard.

📖 What Scripture will they study?

This lesson is rooted in Nehemiah 4 (NIV), where God’s people face opposition, discouragement, and setbacks while rebuilding the wall. Students will see how Nehemiah responded with prayer, wisdom, and action, and how those same principles apply to their lives today.

🏗️ Big Idea

Obstacles aren’t a reason to quit—they’re an opportunity to focus and turn to God.

🎯 What students will learn

Through discussion, teaching, and practical application, students will:

  • Understand that challenges don’t stop God’s work—prayer and focus move it forward

  • Reflect on how they personally respond to frustration, stress, and opposition

  • Learn how to stay committed to doing good, even when it feels difficult or uncomfortable

🙏 Why this matters for middle schoolers

Just like Nehemiah and the builders, students will discover that prayer plus action leads to progress. This lesson helps them develop spiritual habits that will serve them at school, at home, and in their relationships—especially during seasons of pressure or uncertainty.

💛 What parents can expect

  • Bible-based teaching relevant to real-life challenges

  • Honest conversations in a safe, encouraging environment

  • Age-appropriate discussion designed for 5th–8th graders

  • Leaders who care deeply about students’ faith and growth

Our desire is to partner with families by helping students build a resilient faith—one that stays focused on God, even when life feels overwhelming.

We’d love for your student to join us as we learn how to face challenges with faith and confidence.

Faith That’s Real. Questions That Matter.

This isn’t just “Sunday School”—it’s a launchpad. 🚀

Our preteens and middle schoolers are navigating a critical season—wrestling with big questions about faith, identity, and the world around them. That’s why this class is built to go beyond Bible stories and memory verses (though we love those too!).

Here, we make space for real conversations about life and faith. We tackle topics that matter to them—fear, forgiveness, friendships, choices, and what it means to live for Jesus in everyday life.

It’s a space where kids are:

  • Known by name

  • Heard without judgment

  • Encouraged to grow spiritually

  • Challenged to apply truth with courage

Through interactive teaching, small group discussion, and Scripture study, students discover that God’s Word is alive, relevant, and deeply personal. They don’t just learn about God—they learn how to walk with Him.

They’re not waiting to make an impact someday.
They’re living boldly for Christ—right now.
At school, at home, online, and wherever God leads.

Because at The Chapel, we believe this generation is not the church of tomorrow.

They are the church today!!!
