A Message from Pastor Jeremy Eastman
At The Chapel, we believe healing isn’t just possible—it’s promised through Jesus. In a recent message, Pastor Jeremy Eastman reminded us that when we make space for Jesus in our hearts, we open the door to true healing, lasting joy, and divine purpose. This powerful sermon invites us to surrender the clutter of pain, fear, and distraction, and allow the Holy Spirit to do what only He can—restore, renew, and realign.
The Healing Power of the Holy Spirit
We live in a broken world—but we serve a God who is able to bind up every wound. Pastor Jeremy began by anchoring our hearts in a profound truth: healing doesn't begin with us—it begins with Him. When we welcome the Holy Spirit, we access divine strength and peace that surpass understanding.
Quoting Isaiah 61:1, Pastor reminded us:
“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted…”
This isn’t poetic language—it’s a real promise. God sees your broken places, and He intends to heal them.
Addressing the Wounds We Hide
Too often, we walk around with wounds we’ve learned to ignore. Pastor Jeremy challenged us to stop hiding what hurts and start allowing God to touch what’s tender. Emotional pain, if left untreated, becomes spiritual infection. But when we bring our pain to Jesus—Jehovah Rapha, our Healer—we receive not just relief, but restoration.
He reminded us that even grief, though valid, is not a permanent address. We weren’t created to live in sorrow—we were created to walk in freedom.
You Are Not Defined By Your Past
In a vulnerable moment, Pastor shared his personal struggle with inadequacy, showing us that even leaders wrestle with lies. But he reminded us all of this truth:✨ You are not what the enemy says you are. You are who God says you are. A child of the King. A new creation. Chosen. Redeemed. Called.
This isn’t just encouragement—it’s identity. And when we live from that identity, everything changes.
Healing That Transforms
Healing isn’t about a moment—it’s about transformation. Pastor Jeremy recounted his own recovery after a stroke, describing the slow, sacred work of God to restore not just his body, but his trust. That journey taught him—and us—that God is faithful even when the process is long.
True healing doesn’t just patch us up. It makes us whole. It releases us from addiction. It replaces anxiety with peace. It exchanges shame for joy.
Make Room for Jesus
In Luke 10, we see Martha busy while Mary sits at Jesus’ feet. Pastor Jeremy asked: “What is crowding your life right now? Where have you made space for everything but Him?”
Whether it's busyness, fear, entertainment, or control, we all need to clear space for the One who holds the answers. Because Jesus doesn’t force His way in—He waits to be invited.
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock.” – Revelation 3:20
Have you opened the door?
You Have a Purpose
Ephesians 2:10 tells us:
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”
You were made on purpose, with purpose, for a purpose. Pastor Jeremy encouraged us to live every day with that calling in mind—to invite Jesus into every decision, every moment, every dream. Purpose isn’t something we discover alone. It’s something we walk out with Him.
Final Encouragement
This week, let’s not just believe in God’s healing—let’s live like it’s already begun.
🔹 Let go of what’s heavy.
🔹 Open your heart to Jesus.
🔹 Invite the Holy Spirit to do a new work in you.
🔹 And ask, with boldness: “Lord, what have You created me for?”
Your healing matters. Your joy matters. Your calling matters.
And the moment you make room for Him, you’ll discover—He’s been there, waiting, all along.
