"Legacy isn’t what we leave for people—it’s what we leave in them.
"This past Sunday, The Chapel was filled with celebration, worship, and a powerful reminder of how we shape the future through faith. As we honored high school graduates and dedicated children to the Lord, Pastor Jeremy Eastman invited us to reflect on the kind of legacy we’re building—one rooted in trust, obedience, and community.
🎓 Honoring the Next Generation of Leaders
Graduation is more than a milestone—it’s a launch point. During our special service, we celebrated a group of incredible young men and women stepping into new seasons of life. From college-bound students to those entering the workforce or skilled trades, each one represents the fruit of discipleship and the investment of families, mentors, and the local church.
Each graduate was gifted a Bible—marked with highlighted verses of encouragement and truth—along with a personalized care package. These weren't just tokens of celebration; they were tools for the journey ahead, reminding our students that God's Word is the firmest foundation they can build upon.
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” – Proverbs 22:6 (ESV)
💛 Dedications: Building Strong Foundations in Christ
Next, we turned our hearts toward baby and child dedications—a moment of profound significance. With joy, families stood before the congregation to dedicate their little ones to the Lord, publicly committing to raise them in homes centered on Christ.
Pastor Jeremy read from Psalm 127, reminding us that "Children are a heritage from the Lord..." These precious lives are not only a blessing, but also a responsibility, entrusted to parents and supported by the local church family.
A dedication isn’t just a photo opportunity—it’s a covenant.
It says: “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15)
🔑 The Power of Trust: A Message for All Generations
Throughout the service, Pastor Jeremy wove together the themes of legacy and trust, teaching from Proverbs 3:5–6 and Jeremiah 29:11–14.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.” – Proverbs 3:5–6 (ESV)
He reminded us that building a lasting legacy starts with a single choice: Who will you trust? The world is filled with uncertainty, but God remains constant. His plans for us are good, filled with hope, and shaped by purpose.
It’s not just the graduates or young families that need this truth—we all do. Whether you're making college decisions, parenting toddlers, or navigating a new career season, God is inviting you to walk by faith, not by fear.
🌱 A Community Built on Faith
This service was more than just a Sunday celebration—it was a glimpse into the heart of The Chapel: a family committed to walking together in faith.
It’s in these moments—when we honor the growth of our young people, commit to raising our children in Christ, and renew our trust in God—that we build something eternal.
Legacy is not what we leave behind—it’s the impact we make right now, one choice, one prayer, and one generation at a time.
